Minister of Labour and Social Security of Turkey, Jülide Sarıeroğlu and the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia, Chinzori Sodnom signed the “Agreement Between the Republic of Turkey and Mongolia on Social Security”
The signing ceremony was held in the Parliamentary Assembly Meeting Hall of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) with the participation of Turkish Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman and Mongolian Parliament Speaker Mieygombo Enkhbold.
With the entry into force of the agreement, it will be ensured that the social security rights of citizens and workers of both countries are protected and secured within the framework of reciprocity.
The agreement covers invalidity, old age, survivors, work accident and occupational diseases, sickness and maternity insurances. In this framework, those who are subject to the legislation of both Contracting Parties shall be treated equally in terms of their social security rights and obligations. This Agreement will enable aggregation of periods of insurance completed in Contracting Parties for entitlement to social security pensions and benefits stipulated in the legislation of the Parties.
